Casterton Cragside Garden

This design turned an overgrown rocky fault from a maintenance headache into a peaceful, useable space that elevated the rock forms and intentional planting.

A large part of this garden is a steep, limestone crag with thin soil. Our design created a mid-way seating area to gaze over the vista beyond. Biodegradable weed matting and judicious pruning of existing shrubs opened out a calming space. Intentional groundcover planting fills gaps between boulders. This smothers weeds and adds a living backdrop for our new focal points - the boulders themselves and a collection of vibrant, delicate Acers.
