Kendal Terraced Sanctuary

Poised on a hillside and bearing the weight of time, this compact garden demanded a bit of ingenuity to realise its potential.

In the new design, reconfigured terracing and concealed drainage were used to address practical challenges without impacting the garden’s flow. Enclosed with textural planting and thoughtfully framed viewed, the space became an intimate retreat.

A sunny terrace with gravel planting created a welcoming dining space, while crafted stone pathways wound through a a cottage garden.
